Wakeboard trip

At the time of our departure I had no idea, where we are hitting to.

The sign on our bus said we’re hitting to Perth.

In the end it was a 2-six-pack bus ride north of Melbourne

The next day I discovered that we are in Yarrawonga

At first we tried to get out of the water and stand on the board, without water and without a board

At the beginning you couldn’t see more of me than this

So we tried easier thinks, which where really fun, too

In the evening we had a couple of beers. These are some members of the “Drinking club with a wakeboarding problem”

Our brekky was nearly as healthy as it was in Thailand

With sore muscles, a hangover and a healthy breakfast it worked better and you could see more than just my head out of the water

Formula one Grand Prix

Compared to the Grand Prix in Germany, it’s pretty cheap to visit the Grand Prix in Melbourne. I think it’s still as fast and noisy as it is in Europe.

This time I was not the craziest guy on the group picture

Yeah, Victoria is the place to be…

Mer schwöre dir, he op Treu un op Iehr!
Mer stonn zo dir, FC Kölle!
Un mer jonn met dir,

Arrival in Melbourne and my day back in Sweden

The first month in Melbourne I lived in a nice hostel, called the Greenhouse Backpackers. Unlike the places in Thailand I stayed, it had warm showers and 24/7 electricity, so if it wouldn’t be that expensive I would still live there

Mostly I spent my time there on the roof-top-terrace with company from people from all over the world and 4 litre boxes of cheap whine.

Then I found this nice place, it’s a little bit outside of Melbourne, but it’s pretty cheap and it has two nice housemates

First my room looked like this

Then there came the 22nd of March,

Hej du gamla, du fria, du tysta, du glädjerika sköna Sverige. Jag hälsar dig. Jag är tillbacka!!
I went to the Swedish embassy in Melbourne and enjoyed a day back in Sweden

I tried to read a little bit in a Swedish book

Had a Swedish meal; Ok the staff where not able to understand me when I ordered Köttbullar med strips so I ate just meatballs with fries, and godverdomme Kanelbullar where not available on this day.

Yeah that’s Swedish

And that’s typical Swedish, too

Yummy, Marabou meets Daim, but still no Kanelbulle, so I have to go there again

Javisst a day in Sverige is a day with snus instead of cigarettes

After I imported the furniture from Sweden, my room looked like this

70 bucks later

And 200 bucks later, shit 200 bucks just for this short stay, mh maybe I can sell it afterwards

Singapore

That’s Singapore

And that’s Singapore

But my impression of Singapore was this. Too many prohibitive signs and to organized for Markus to feel comfortable.

Kuala Lumpur

After eight month I met Christiane a friend of mine from cologne in Kuala Lumpur.

She travelled from Singapore to the North of Thailand so we met up in KL.

Batu
Caves

Petronas Towers

Even though the Petronas Towers are the highest buildings in Malaysia, from the top of the Communication Tower you can look down to them.

Ko Lipeh

My favourite island so far, there are no streets and no ATM.
Just a few bungalows, beach bars and a relaxed atmosphere.

A 30 minute walk through the forest and you went from the east to the west coast

If it would be that easy in Australia

The streets of Ko Lipeh

Ko Samui

Ko Samui itself sucked, just to big, to many old tourists mainly with young Thai Girls by their site, we stayed there to ride an Elephant

Ok it has some beautiful waterfalls too, maybe we where just at the wrong part of the Island

Ko Phangan

Ok, again the outlook from our Bungalow. The place, owned by a friendly Norwegian guy, was situated a little bit up the hill and really great.

Mh what should we do today? I think I’ll burn my chest!!

Electricity in Thailand

The moon can change a lot on Ko Phangan

At the full-moon-party the Had Rin Beach becomes more like a dance floor and is crowded by thousands of party-people from all over the world.

Koh Tao

While I was busy with diving during the day, Justin could take pictures of such nice views, but the view underwater was at least as good as this.

When we walked out of our Bungalow we had this nice outlook

In a bar next to the beach we enjoyed drinks for one fifth of the price you would pay at Systembolaget

But it was a little bit to far away from the ocean, so we sat direct on the beach
